One Year Later

Not much has changed in the 12 months following our reopening. Our door to the atrium remains open, the doors to the massage rooms are still left ajar during sessions, air purifiers still cleanse the air in each of our rooms, masks are still mandatory, and our Bipolar Ionizer is still neutralizing all viruses, COVID and otherwise.

With all that we’ve done, and continue to do, I believe we have created a safe oasis for our clients and our staff. And it’s been put to the test. There have been a few occasions in the past year where therapists and clients have, unknowingly, brought the infection into our massage rooms - with no transmission taking place.

I had hoped, by this time, that we could start relaxing some of our protocols, like our mask mandate, and bring back our beverage service and our showers. But the more contagious Delta variant has put those plans on hold. That said, I still believe our protocols are keeping everyone safe, even with the stronger Delta mutation.

In the interest of transparency, I need to inform you that a small number of our massage therapists have refused to get vaccinated. This is a big source of frustration for me but, from a safety perspective, I don’t believe they are posing a greater risk now than they have over the past 12 months. Personally, I’m still scheduling massages with them. And we’ve begun weekly testing. But, if it’s important to you that your therapist is vaccinated, please let us know and we will schedule you with one who is.

Please stay safe and keep well.

We hope to see you soon,

Peter B Rubnitz, Owner
